Ice Skating......Sorta

 Unfreezing water for all of the animals might not be what we would call fun, but when our pond (that does hold water now, thanks to our pigs!) froze, we found it to be quite fun!

Yesterday, the little ones went out and played on the ice and this morning Ashley, Anna, and I went out to play on it (morning is the best time to do it)! We weren't really ice skating. We wore our muck boots. It was cool just the same. Now we have found something that we like about January here! You really do have to dress like you are going skiing just to go outside this time of year!

Hello all! We're back again! Man, what a busy month! Several birthdays, fun events, farm life, and everyday happenings! Shall we begin? This month literally started out with Norah turning 11! JULY

Hello everyone!!  Hope you all had a great July!! :) Ours included a 4th of July celebration, a brand new litter of 10 pigs, stocking up on hay for the winter months, a gun safety course we three older ones went through, a chicken butchering day, topped off with Ava Park fun with friends, a trip to Silver Dollar City, and creek fun!  Shall we begin? Our enthusiastic grill major for the 4th of July. I’m not sure about her, but the food was a 5+ rating! Can’t get more patriotic than this picture *wink* Whenever friends stop by for a visit and bring a cake,  there will be no complaints here!….Until everyone gets a sugar high. In honor of the 4th, I’ll share one of my favorite quotes: “Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. Thank them both today.” Ended the night with a bang, like (I’m assuming) everyone else did! And the very next day,… 10 of ‘em born on the 5th....
