A Marvelous May

Hey guys! Sorry for the delay in posting this month! I feel like June just started and now its practically over!
_________________________________________________________________________________

Mom had a birthday!
A trip to the Bakersville festival!
These guys are ready for summer!
Katherine found a rocking chair that was her size.
 Joe found a buddy, Julian
Izzy found a fascination with my sunglasses. Sorry you're not very clear in it, Emily.

Time to beat the heat with some creek time! Anna is a character!
 whoo-hoo! SUMMER!

We were temporary without a working lawn mower for a few weeks, so we just let the sheep have at it! Our trampoline served as a great shade....
....until it got flipped over when we got a storm that night. Thankfully no sheep were injured! #farmproblems

Little Isaiah is getting so big! He is the most adorable little boy ever!
Getting some brother time in! That's 5 years age difference for you.
Mom finally recovered enough from her C-section to start coming back to the farmers market regularly again! Isaiah has been a celebrity there ever since!
We had some pretty cool storms in May. Those are always my favorite part about spring!
These 2 pictures are from the same storm. The one above was taken right before the lightning started.
 First butcher day of 2017.
Can't you just see the thrill in their faces? You know it's all fake.
Cutting the chickens up is always my job. I think I cut up around 80 birds that day.
Stocking up the freezers and slowly getting the job done!
Meanwhile Joe snoozes in the garage. So helpful.
I also finished high school! Izzy did my senior pictures. These were a few of my favorites.

Also, I have (almost) mastered driving a manual transmission! Sometimes I tend to be a bit jerky, but for the most part, I'm getting better!
Joe turned 5! I got his birthday pictures this year.
Hard to believe that it was only 5 years ago I had a brother for the first time!
Cute little smile
 Another storm!!!
Now we fast forward to a get-together with the Niednagels, Langs, and Fords. This is a really good picture of Kalea and Isaiah!
Here is another really good photo of Anna and Isaiah!
For Izzy, it's all fun and games with the camera until someone else picks it up and gets a photo of her.

 Now she looks happy!
Hey look, we match the Fords!
Joshua and Samara Royer May 20th 2017
 They're hitched!
It made some people get a little crazy....
 Mr. and Mrs.
Hannah and Tess both looked great!
And now for the best part of the whole day! When everyone trashes the car and makes it as hard to get into as possible!
 <3
Definitely handsome!
A day at the Vimonts! Hannah let the littles ride her horse that she had been training.
All three of them fit!
To go up the silo, or not to go up the silo. That is the question.
 40 feet up. Cool!
It was pretty neat up there even though heights scare me to death!
 Oh, hey Joe. You're small.
I will close with this epic looking picture of our dog, Church.

Memories From March

Hello all! We're back again! Man, what a busy month! Several birthdays, fun events, farm life, and everyday happenings! Shall we begin? This month literally started out with Norah turning 11! Here's just a few of her birthday photos!  This year, Norah requested a doughnut cake! Two doughnuts a person! Let's just say we all felt horrible that night. Loading more pigs up  Isaiah still doesn't know what to think of the sheep Izzy and Mr. Grumpy Gills  Katherine started riding a two-wheeler bike, with a little help from the training wheels! She could totally be a model!  Chick season has come around the corner...again! This will always be a favorite!  They make for good pets...when they're little anyway!  When you don't have a tractor and you need to seed the fields...  ...and chop broom grass down When Mom's not putting the food in your mouth fast enough  Meet the new bull calf, Demitri! ...

Izzy's 12 Year Old Pictures

Now that Isabelle has been 12 for a month now, I finally got around to getting her pictures done! This post will be short and sweet and a big long one will be coming soon (hopefully)!

JULY

Hello everyone!!  Hope you all had a great July!! :) Ours included a 4th of July celebration, a brand new litter of 10 pigs, stocking up on hay for the winter months, a gun safety course we three older ones went through, a chicken butchering day, topped off with Ava Park fun with friends, a trip to Silver Dollar City, and creek fun!  Shall we begin? Our enthusiastic grill major for the 4th of July. I’m not sure about her, but the food was a 5+ rating! Can’t get more patriotic than this picture *wink* Whenever friends stop by for a visit and bring a cake,  there will be no complaints here!….Until everyone gets a sugar high. In honor of the 4th, I’ll share one of my favorite quotes: “Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. Thank them both today.” Ended the night with a bang, like (I’m assuming) everyone else did! And the very next day,… 10 of ‘em born on the 5th....
