A Spectacular September

Hello to all our friends. Well long story short, Maddy is unable to do a blog post so we (Anna and my sidekick Izzy) are taking it over for a little while. (We'll explain about Maddy later on..so keep reading!)

What's a blog entry without an adorable baby?!

While unloading hay, Izzy found this little guy and got some cool pictures with him!

While at Silver Dollar City waiting to see Lonestar in concert, Norah and I "brave the waves"!

My thrilled and excited concert buddy!
Just can't contain the excitement here
Yep, it was a full house!
A night to remember! Great songs, fun band.

And two days later we had chicken processing...at 1:00 a.m.!

In anticipation of the cold weather to come, we took an advantage of the warm weather and had a little camp out in the front yard.
 Close enough!
 Expectation vs. Reality
 Hallelujah! We did it!
We ended up sleeping in it four nights in a row! Due to rain coming, we sadly had to take it down.

 Caution. extreme cuteness ahead
He got his first two teeth!
 CUTENESS!!!!
Maddy did my birthday photos this year!

Not sure why, but this is one of my favorites!

Yummy birthday cake...full of corn syrup! Mom had a fit!
So. Maddy was accepted for an internship with a publishing company in New York! She'll be gone for a month, possibly three. This is Izzy waving good bye as Dad and Maddy head to the airport.
On their way to New York!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great October!

Memories From March

Hello all! We're back again! Man, what a busy month! Several birthdays, fun events, farm life, and everyday happenings! Shall we begin? This month literally started out with Norah turning 11! Here's just a few of her birthday photos!  This year, Norah requested a doughnut cake! Two doughnuts a person! Let's just say we all felt horrible that night. Loading more pigs up  Isaiah still doesn't know what to think of the sheep Izzy and Mr. Grumpy Gills  Katherine started riding a two-wheeler bike, with a little help from the training wheels! She could totally be a model!  Chick season has come around the corner...again! This will always be a favorite!  They make for good pets...when they're little anyway!  When you don't have a tractor and you need to seed the fields...  ...and chop broom grass down When Mom's not putting the food in your mouth fast enough  Meet the new bull calf, Demitri! ...

Izzy's 12 Year Old Pictures

Now that Isabelle has been 12 for a month now, I finally got around to getting her pictures done! This post will be short and sweet and a big long one will be coming soon (hopefully)!

JULY

Hello everyone!!  Hope you all had a great July!! :) Ours included a 4th of July celebration, a brand new litter of 10 pigs, stocking up on hay for the winter months, a gun safety course we three older ones went through, a chicken butchering day, topped off with Ava Park fun with friends, a trip to Silver Dollar City, and creek fun!  Shall we begin? Our enthusiastic grill major for the 4th of July. I’m not sure about her, but the food was a 5+ rating! Can’t get more patriotic than this picture *wink* Whenever friends stop by for a visit and bring a cake,  there will be no complaints here!….Until everyone gets a sugar high. In honor of the 4th, I’ll share one of my favorite quotes: “Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. Thank them both today.” Ended the night with a bang, like (I’m assuming) everyone else did! And the very next day,… 10 of ‘em born on the 5th....
