Ohhhh, October...where hast thou gone???

Yet another month has passed, and it is time to gaze back into October past...care to join?
We had the opportunity and blessing of hosting a farm tour for a wonderful group from
the Purdue University Farm Extension Program.

This guy was really patient with our younger ones as they followed him all over the place talking pretty much the entire time.
Izzy explaining her rabbits,...and Joe is STILL talking :)
We enjoyed exchanging farming experiences and ideas!
Visiting the pigs...
They let us check out the NICE bus, which was exciting for the littles.

 Norah made cookies for everyone!
This group rocks!
Family picture in front of the bus. Missing you, Maddy.
The littles picked up this fun mask at the farmer's market. Of course, they each had to try it on!
 Can you guess who's who?

 Awww...
 Epic!
That's Izzy feeding the pigs...just in case you were wondering.
This cutie is already 7 months!
It's processing day yet again. Sorry, chickens!
No, this is not photo shopped. I like things big.
Here is a random picture of Norah pushing a trough.
Future piano player. Starting him early.
Everybody dressed up Renaissance for the 500 year anniversary of Reformation Day
(Except Ashley, but she still looked nice)!
Silly dramatic picture, and it's off to the Reformation Celebration!
This year, in honor of the 500 year anniversary of the Reformation, our church held
a pie contest and costume contest.
That explains why we are dressed up in the picture above.
 Our friends, Hannah and Autumn
 Presenting, Lady Hannah!
Babies usually love Ashley! This little cutie just wanted her mommy.
"I think my pie's gonna win"- "Definitely!"
Melissa Niednagel won the costume contest! Yay!
Yummy fattening stuff
There was live music too! It was beautiful.
Mr. Davis gave a speech about the Reformation.
Let us dance the night away!
Katherine wanted to dance so much, she just joined right in!

Nobody is happy with their height... I guess

Cutest lion of the year!
This picture is too cute not to include!
At the Ford's for dinner! Lena and Ashley
 Blurry, but funny.
 Thanks for being photogenic, Kaitlyn!
Where there's Fords and food, there's FUN!
Singing hymns afterwards.  This family makes harmony sound heavenly!
 Diapered cowbaby's are the best!
Thanks for stopping by our blog, and have a great November!
(Did you notice the cutie in the truck?)

Izzy's 12 Year Old Pictures

Now that Isabelle has been 12 for a month now, I finally got around to getting her pictures done! This post will be short and sweet and a big long one will be coming soon (hopefully)!

Memories From March

Hello all! We're back again! Man, what a busy month! Several birthdays, fun events, farm life, and everyday happenings! Shall we begin? This month literally started out with Norah turning 11! Here's just a few of her birthday photos!  This year, Norah requested a doughnut cake! Two doughnuts a person! Let's just say we all felt horrible that night. Loading more pigs up  Isaiah still doesn't know what to think of the sheep Izzy and Mr. Grumpy Gills  Katherine started riding a two-wheeler bike, with a little help from the training wheels! She could totally be a model!  Chick season has come around the corner...again! This will always be a favorite!  They make for good pets...when they're little anyway!  When you don't have a tractor and you need to seed the fields...  ...and chop broom grass down When Mom's not putting the food in your mouth fast enough  Meet the new bull calf, Demitri! ...

JULY

Hello everyone!!  Hope you all had a great July!! :) Ours included a 4th of July celebration, a brand new litter of 10 pigs, stocking up on hay for the winter months, a gun safety course we three older ones went through, a chicken butchering day, topped off with Ava Park fun with friends, a trip to Silver Dollar City, and creek fun!  Shall we begin? Our enthusiastic grill major for the 4th of July. I’m not sure about her, but the food was a 5+ rating! Can’t get more patriotic than this picture *wink* Whenever friends stop by for a visit and bring a cake,  there will be no complaints here!….Until everyone gets a sugar high. In honor of the 4th, I’ll share one of my favorite quotes: “Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. Thank them both today.” Ended the night with a bang, like (I’m assuming) everyone else did! And the very next day,… 10 of ‘em born on the 5th....
