MAY

Welcome back!
We hope you had a great May! :)
For us, May started out with bit of an adventure!
We were given our first ever bottle calf and got Priscilla (the milk cow) to adopt her!
We also celebrated two Birthdays, Mother’s Day and Mom and Dad’s 25th wedding anniversary!!
So, without further delay, here we go!
Peanut, this cute little bull calf from our dear neighbors, was a twin who was rejected by his momma.  Our neighbors bottle-fed him for a week and then offered him to us.  Since our milk cow, Priscilla was still in milk production, we figured this was perfect timing, because we could raise him on her milk.
At first Priscilla wanted nothing to do with him, so we bottle fed him for a couple weeks.
Meanwhile,…
We got a kick out of this photo series with Norah and her favorite pig, Stanley.
He makes mud holes the exact same size as his body.

Creek days with the fam! If it’s 100 degrees outside, you know where to find us.

A few (7 to be exact) lambs were welcomed to the flock!

Everyone get your lamb holding time in before they become too big & fast!!
Anna got her driver’s license!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She’s now our personal Uber!
It’s that time of year again when the littles come to the front porch
and show off the huge frogs they just caught!
Thank you so much for stopping by!!
Until next time……..

Memories From March

Hello all! We're back again! Man, what a busy month! Several birthdays, fun events, farm life, and everyday happenings! Shall we begin? This month literally started out with Norah turning 11! Here's just a few of her birthday photos!  This year, Norah requested a doughnut cake! Two doughnuts a person! Let's just say we all felt horrible that night. Loading more pigs up  Isaiah still doesn't know what to think of the sheep Izzy and Mr. Grumpy Gills  Katherine started riding a two-wheeler bike, with a little help from the training wheels! She could totally be a model!  Chick season has come around the corner...again! This will always be a favorite!  They make for good pets...when they're little anyway!  When you don't have a tractor and you need to seed the fields...  ...and chop broom grass down When Mom's not putting the food in your mouth fast enough  Meet the new bull calf, Demitri! ...

Izzy's 12 Year Old Pictures

Now that Isabelle has been 12 for a month now, I finally got around to getting her pictures done! This post will be short and sweet and a big long one will be coming soon (hopefully)!

JULY

Hello everyone!!  Hope you all had a great July!! :) Ours included a 4th of July celebration, a brand new litter of 10 pigs, stocking up on hay for the winter months, a gun safety course we three older ones went through, a chicken butchering day, topped off with Ava Park fun with friends, a trip to Silver Dollar City, and creek fun!  Shall we begin? Our enthusiastic grill major for the 4th of July. I’m not sure about her, but the food was a 5+ rating! Can’t get more patriotic than this picture *wink* Whenever friends stop by for a visit and bring a cake,  there will be no complaints here!….Until everyone gets a sugar high. In honor of the 4th, I’ll share one of my favorite quotes: “Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. Thank them both today.” Ended the night with a bang, like (I’m assuming) everyone else did! And the very next day,… 10 of ‘em born on the 5th....
