A Crazy September!

Hi and welcome back!!

We hope you all had a wonderful September! :)
Ours was filled with so many wonderful friends and places! :) But overall, it went by way too fast!!
Enjoy!........
Nothing can beat going to the park with friends!
The younger ones were so happy to reunite with some friends that we haven't seen in a long time!
Burying friends is such fun!
Molly and Katherine are such great little kids! They smile ALMOST all the time,...
....until big brother takes little sister's crown!

Anna's Birthday celebration!!! She's only 17!!  She's growing up way too slow!!! *wink*

Happy Birthday Anna!!!
Anna has been testing out her new camera!! It takes amazing pictures!!
This is Finnian!!! (See May//June blog post).

Blurry, cool, and yet kind of disgusting!!! Yup! That is a snake in her mouth!
Ike and Flossy have become best buds!!!
These set of pigs are amazingly tame! And probably the easiest batch we've had! They have been getting out a lot recently, but it's super easy getting them back in!!
Can you guess who this is?!
This is what happens when you put your face up to a printer......
......and in a short amount of time, we had this!
This is a result of telling homeschoolers to get their school done!
At the park again acting like a bunch three year old's.
Thank you, Lang's for such a great time!
When Market is kind of slow, Mom gets spammed
with weird pictures like this on her phone!
Two peas in a pod

At Ava Park with  Fords and Steins!!
Here we are trying to look like we know what we're doing!!

This month we finished our FINAL two chicken butcher events of the year!!
We also set a new record of butchering 120 chickens, cutting up 60, cleaning up, AND taking a slight break in between in a total of 4 hours!!
Thank you to all who helped us!!!
Sadly, while playing a post-butcher day game, Joe fell and chipped his front two teeth!
Praise God that we have such a great dentist who fixed his teeth the very next day!
Although we're still learning how to pronounce some words with his new teeth!
We also learned that Joe is a better mouser than our cat!!!
Waiting in the car for Mom before Church is never a dull moment with this awesome guy!

Thank you so much for stopping by!!
Have an awesome October!!

August In A Nutshell

Hello folks!  We hope you all had a great August!  This month Mom, Dad, and Isaiah drove to CO to drop Peyton and Norah off, so they could visit with our Grandmas for two weeks. They were supposed to go to Germany and Austria with Grandma Mary in June, but, due to covid19, they weren’t able to go.  But they still needed some Grandma time! We also butchered around 300 chickens this month. We’ve never butchered that many at the same time before, so we broke them up into two different butcher days. (Since we had to cut up 200 of them).  And took steers to the butcher!!!  August was also ‘drought  month’ for MO. The fields turned crispy brown,  which hasn’t been helpful for our grazing cattle.   Thankfully, we’ve gotten some good rains right at the end of the month,  and things have once again greened up! Priscilla (my cow) FINALLY had her calf!! We’ve been waiting so long for her to arrive! (YES!!! She had a heifer!!!!!!) So, the process of milking has finally begun! And we’re already get

Memories From March

Hello all! We're back again! Man, what a busy month! Several birthdays, fun events, farm life, and everyday happenings! Shall we begin? This month literally started out with Norah turning 11! Here's just a few of her birthday photos!  This year, Norah requested a doughnut cake! Two doughnuts a person! Let's just say we all felt horrible that night. Loading more pigs up  Isaiah still doesn't know what to think of the sheep Izzy and Mr. Grumpy Gills  Katherine started riding a two-wheeler bike, with a little help from the training wheels! She could totally be a model!  Chick season has come around the corner...again! This will always be a favorite!  They make for good pets...when they're little anyway!  When you don't have a tractor and you need to seed the fields...  ...and chop broom grass down When Mom's not putting the food in your mouth fast enough  Meet the new bull calf, Demitri!
