March//April

Hello everyone!
We hope you are all doing well and staying safe with everything that's going on right now!

Well, because of all the work we've been getting done (and probably too much play) we really haven't gotten too many pictures. BUT, the pictures we DID get, turned out pretty good! :)
So, without further a due, let's get this show on the road! :)
WARNING!!!!! LOTS of sky pictures ahead! :)

We decided to let the cows out for a couple hours a day so they could graze the front yard to save time from mowing. Well, in case you didn't know, cows are curious about everything, and we stopped doing it after this...:)
Also in case you didn’t pick up on it by the picture,  I'm the kind of person that says, "WAIT! Let me get a picture first!"
It's a Coulter thing. :)
Kind of sad. This picture was taken the last time we went to Church. Back in March. :/
Our little mud princess
Our very first batch of broilers arrived!!!!
Just like newborn babies, we forget how small they start out.
 Isaiah practicing his counting. :)
Our scenic journey to pick up the new piglets:
The views were spectacular!

And here are the piglets ( a little larger than we expected)!
Time for castration! As you can tell by Peyton's look it was an interesting experience.
Usually Ashley, Mom, and Anna do it, but because they were at work, it was Mom, Dad, and me.
It was my first time helping with the process and I wouldn't mind if I don't do it ever again!
With COVID-19 going on, the Farmer's Market was turned into a drive through! It's a lot different, but it works really well.
...And apparently Mom and I were put in the news.

The Market manager dressed like a carrot and held this sign up that says:
"Thank you for supporting FMO. It's worth the wait, we promise!"
If you live in Missouri and need to get out of the house, you should stop by!
With the process of still cleaning out the woods, we get to enjoy LOTS of bonfires! :D

But for me personally, this is the best part.
And this also happened........I'll admit it, I got it stuck. :/
But hey, this fire made up for it!

When I ask him to smile.
Don't let Anna fool you, this is what she's like in her comfort zone.
(Yes she still sits on me).
No one in the house is safe!

We had to practice patience while letting this sourdough bread cool. So thankful to be able to make bread at home!
And Ashley made these! Hers always turn out way better than mine, not like mine are hard to beat!😂
And just like that it was Isaiah's Birthday! How that happened so fast I have no idea!
The cake turned out really good! :D

He's 3!!!!!
While some people are stuck inside because they live in the city, we be like.......

Yup, they're sitting on a very pregnant cow. (Don't worry, after this picture we got them off.) :)
Who needs a baby doll when you have a chicken?
Anna said that the moon was going to turn red! So we went up on the roof and got WAY too many pictures! And then we waited and waited...and waited. The moon never changed, I won't tell you how long we waited on the roof, that's just embarrassing ;). Whether Anna told the truth or not is still a mystery.
Even though the picture doesn't do this moon justice at all, here's proof that the almost all nighter on the roof was worth it just because of this moon, (plus, who can get mad for having a good excuse to go up on the roof?).
Yeah, way too many pictures.......;)

We both know we're weird, but I can honestly say, she's weirder than me.
"I lift my eye's to the hills. From where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth."
Psalm 121:2-3
"Cows are like children, curious about everything."
-Dad
Here's a sequel of Isaiah working on balance.
That smile of accomplishment.
He's SO cute!!!!!
With some of their extra time the younger kids went swimming in the pond!
They don't mind the duck poop.
When it comes to storm watching, there's three types of people in our family.
Anna: Always ready to catch that perfect shot.
Me: The videographer. Also there to take selfies ;)
And Norah: The life of the party! Simply there to keep us entertained.
Even though I just said Anna gets all the pictures of storms,
I got this one. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Easter Sunday!
Very thankful that we (except for Maddy) were all together!
We have also started something new with the farm!!! We are now doing deliveries, where we deliver right to your front door! (If you live in our neck of the woods, that is. ;)
Market again. :) If you noticed anything different about this picture than the last Market picture, you are very observant! FMO is now doing TWO lanes for the cars!!!
Time to get the brooders off the front yard and into the field so we can move the (not so little :() chicks onto the field.
Ashley, as usual, ;) got the fun job.
Checked off the to-do list. :)
We also got new laying hens from an Amish neighbor! They adjusted really well to our laying hens.
Here's a picture tour of around the farm right now. :)

We also bought eight new cows!! This was a Big purchase for us, so, I think I got a little too many pictures of them.

SOLD! Our beloved “Dave” belongs to new owner.
We discovered that Peyton is a remarkable wood splitter, and she enjoys it!
And the second batch of broilers are here!!!!!
The End :)

Have a blessed next month! :)
If there’s anything we can pray for you about,
please leave a comment, and we will be honored to pray for you!

Izzy's 12 Year Old Pictures

Now that Isabelle has been 12 for a month now, I finally got around to getting her pictures done! This post will be short and sweet and a big long one will be coming soon (hopefully)!

August In A Nutshell

Hello folks!  We hope you all had a great August!  This month Mom, Dad, and Isaiah drove to CO to drop Peyton and Norah off, so they could visit with our Grandmas for two weeks. They were supposed to go to Germany and Austria with Grandma Mary in June, but, due to covid19, they weren’t able to go.  But they still needed some Grandma time! We also butchered around 300 chickens this month. We’ve never butchered that many at the same time before, so we broke them up into two different butcher days. (Since we had to cut up 200 of them).  And took steers to the butcher!!!  August was also ‘drought  month’ for MO. The fields turned crispy brown,  which hasn’t been helpful for our grazing cattle.   Thankfully, we’ve gotten some good rains right at the end of the month,  and things have once again greened up! Priscilla (my cow) FINALLY had her calf!! We’ve been waiting so long for her to arrive! (YES!!! She had a heifer!!!!!!) So, the process of milking has finally begun! And we’re already get

April

Welcome Back!! Hope you all had a great April! For us, it was quite crazy! But I guess we should be used to that by now. Overview of April: Springfield Symphony with my cello teacher, her husband, and a few other friends, a Bakers creek Festival, hiking at Ha-Ha Tonka with some of the Ford's, Easter, and a Family Conference in Big Sandy, Texas with the Ford family! Springfield Symphony in Downtown Springfield! Such a beautiful building!! The Symphony!  We also had the pleasure of getting to watch one of the world's best cellists, Bryan Cheng! When you randomly discover that the blue lights in your room make yellow highlighters glow! .....and your siblings ask you to write all over them, and not only do you listen to them but you also think it's a great idea🙈 It's a yellow nose and arms for the win!! Somebody's got a bun in the oven! ;) It's Anna in the background for me! 😂 Got a chance to get some quality time in with this beautiful girl! I love our walks and
