An Eventful May!

Like the snap of a finger, May has come and gone.  It's officially busy season here at Peak View Farm! This month Mom, Dad, and Havi all got the awesome opportunity to visit Maddy up in New York for one week and leave the rest of us kids here at home!! :) Lambs have been popping out all month but the last one was finally born on May 27th. Which brought us up to a total of about 35 lambs! Mom and Joe had Birthdays and there were other fun happenings! Scroll on down to see just what we did! =)
We started May off by celebrating Mom's Birthday!
After lots and lots of rain this is the most beautiful thing to see!
This ewe and her lamb proudly posed for this picture.
Here we are at the Bakersville Festival! Didn't get a lot
of photo's. Just ones of these guy's playing in the sand box! :)

Anna captured this amazing photo after a big storm came through.
The chickens thankfully made it through!!!

And now it's time to butcher them!!!
Huge thanks to the Ford's who came to help!!
The very next day Joe had his 7th Birthday!
He requested cheesecake with mint Oreos.
Yep, that's the best we could do after a long butcher day.

Well, at least it tasted good!

"Uh oh, Isaiah, you must have been a bad boy!!"
Anna also got this awesome picture from a puddle on the lane!

WARNING: Lamb picture overload ahead!!!!!
These are an adorable set of twins they're holding!

Another set of twins!
And yet another set of twins! :) (We had a lot of sets of twins!)
They're just so cute!! :)

See what I mean?!

This girl had an audience while she was giving birth! :)
And it's out!!! Good job girl!
Within a few minutes they are strong enough to lift their heads up!!
And shortly afterward, they try to walk! :)
The lamb in the background was rejected by her mother, but adopted by this sweet ewe!

This is what we call a "flerd!" (flock/herd)

Anna finally got to Isaiah's Birthday photo's and while she was at it, she did Joe's as well! :)

Isaiah didn't cooperate for most of the pictures though!

<3

Anna got these awesome pictures from the roof top.......
...........and while she was at it she took pictures of herself!
Did Mom know about this?
Mother's Day came next:) So thankful for our WONDERFUL Mom!

Mom, Dad, and Havi are off to
New York to
 visit Maddy!
This is Havi's first plane ride.
Can't you tell she's excited?!?!?! :)

If you look very closely, you can see the Washington Monument behind the other plane's tail!
And they made it! It's the real Lamplighter Headquarters! The house behind the sign is the main building, bookstore, future cafe, and the shipping room where Maddy works :D
(They're putting on a new roof)
The Lamplighter chapel contains the book bindery, sound production room and offices.
Maddy was very excited to take them all over the place
and introduce them to all her friends!

Meeting Peter & Meeka
The actual recording studio they use for the Lamplighter audio drama's!!!
Here they are at Letchworth Park! It's quite beautiful!
They did get a bit wet.

We'll just keep adding people!
When you tell Mom and Dad to look happy!
There we go! I thought they would never get a good one! ;)
Dad & Mom's 23rd Anniversary!

Mom and Maddy

Havi (quite a ways up there) and Maddy

Maddy's good friends, the Smith's, had them over for a BBQ!!

Meanwhile at home:
Katherine, feeding Ike her oatmeal off of a spoon

As they kept breaking the springs Peyton kept fixing them.

Norah brought out the ice cream!
She has the cutest smile! :)
Isaiah loved being pulled around on the hand truck!

He wasn't thrilled about pulling Norah! =)

Well, Norah ended up pulling him again!

It's a shame when swings only are fun for little people.

Love his face here! :)
Our neighbor was so sweet and brought over some pudding and whipped cream!!! :D We eat "good" when Mom and Dad are gone! ;)
Practicing throwing the pocket knife! He got quite good! :)

Isaiah loves Anna!!! :D
Blueberry man!!!

This was the storm on the way to Church! Pretty awesome!! :)
And we are at the Ford's! (No, we didn't just
stand around the net. We got several games in! :)
We all got a chance to milk the goats, something we don't get to do everyday! :D

Afterwards, balance practice on barrels!
Good job, Kassidy!!
Norah wanted to try......but it didn't go as well. Better luck next time!
And she's doing it!!! :)
Back at Lamplighter:
This is the shipping room where Maddy works!! Havi was happy to help her!
 Mt. Morris, New York:
 A Memorial Day Ceremony!

Memorial Day Picnic with all the Lamplighter crew.
And they are headed back home!!
Their flight was canceled, so they ended up spending the night at Reagan International Airport!
By God's grace, they made it home safely!
We were all so excited to see them and hear about their awesome trip and see all of their pictures, that we forgot to get pictures of their homecoming! :)
Norah found this teeny little guy out in the woods!

And the garden is finally looking picture worthy! After
all the hard work everyone has put into it it's about time!

Anna goofing around with Isaiah on selfie mode.
We didn't tell her that they were great pictures to end the blog post!!! :D

Hope you all have an awesome June!

Izzy's 12 Year Old Pictures

Now that Isabelle has been 12 for a month now, I finally got around to getting her pictures done! This post will be short and sweet and a big long one will be coming soon (hopefully)!

August In A Nutshell

Hello folks!  We hope you all had a great August!  This month Mom, Dad, and Isaiah drove to CO to drop Peyton and Norah off, so they could visit with our Grandmas for two weeks. They were supposed to go to Germany and Austria with Grandma Mary in June, but, due to covid19, they weren’t able to go.  But they still needed some Grandma time! We also butchered around 300 chickens this month. We’ve never butchered that many at the same time before, so we broke them up into two different butcher days. (Since we had to cut up 200 of them).  And took steers to the butcher!!!  August was also ‘drought  month’ for MO. The fields turned crispy brown,  which hasn’t been helpful for our grazing cattle.   Thankfully, we’ve gotten some good rains right at the end of the month,  and things have once again greened up! Priscilla (my cow) FINALLY had her calf!! We’ve been waiting so long for her to arrive! (YES!!! She had a heifer!!!!!!) So, the process of milking has finally begun! And we’re already get

April

Welcome Back!! Hope you all had a great April! For us, it was quite crazy! But I guess we should be used to that by now. Overview of April: Springfield Symphony with my cello teacher, her husband, and a few other friends, a Bakers creek Festival, hiking at Ha-Ha Tonka with some of the Ford's, Easter, and a Family Conference in Big Sandy, Texas with the Ford family! Springfield Symphony in Downtown Springfield! Such a beautiful building!! The Symphony!  We also had the pleasure of getting to watch one of the world's best cellists, Bryan Cheng! When you randomly discover that the blue lights in your room make yellow highlighters glow! .....and your siblings ask you to write all over them, and not only do you listen to them but you also think it's a great idea🙈 It's a yellow nose and arms for the win!! Somebody's got a bun in the oven! ;) It's Anna in the background for me! 😂 Got a chance to get some quality time in with this beautiful girl! I love our walks and
